Our Mission

We are a Sydney based startup focused on the development of computer vision and machine learning tools to assist in public safety on our beaches.

Surf Life Saving Australia collects some fantastic information on the national drowning rates here.

Unfortunately, there is a huge number of deaths & coastal drowning events that we believe could be prevented with the use of early detection & alerting systems, especially in the cases of after hours support and unpatrolled beaches.

What are we doing?

We are utilising existing infrastructure installed on public beaches to give our life guards the following tools and capabilities:

• Person detection systems enabling identification of beach goers across a variety of classifications
• Rip current detection systems monitoring water conditions in real time
• Autonomous drone systems allowing for the drop off of flotation devices to assist in rescue efforts
• Behavioural analysis models for earlier detection and rescue of distressed / at risk swimmers
• After hours support systems that are able to notify on-call lifeguards of potential drowning events
